A fantastic concert. Well worth the dollars.

Toto, the opening act was good. The concert started right on time. Let me start off by saying that this was the first JOURNEY concert that I had attended. The concert ran for about an hour and 45 minutes maybe two hours. The stage set up was fantastic. Three large screens, one center two on each side. The music was just absolutely incredible. They sounded as good as they do in the studio. Arnel Pineda‘s estate performance was commanding. His participation with the audience was amazing. The energy that was coming from the lead singer was contagious and you could tell that he truly enjoyed doing the show. The consistent movement of him running and jumping around the stage was just incredible, the audience participation was incredible. They played all of the hits from lights, which is a tribute to San Francisco to the current stuff from freedom. Neil Scholn on the lead guitar was right on it at all times. Absolutely incredible, Jonathan Cain, who is the keyboardist was beyond fantastic. The drummer, Dean Casanova definitely kept the show moving with the way that he played the skins. Bassist Todd Jensen, who in my opinion is the newest member of the group did a good job as well. Jason D who back up keyboardist and back up vocalist did a nice job at singing, separate ways, giving Arnel Pineda, a chance to rest, sang separate ways which was definitely done incredibly well. Jason D does have a good voice and he definitely can imitate Steve Perry on that particular song, although I would’ve preferred to have heard Arnel Pineda sing that song. I do understand that he needed a break. The ticket price for the headline show and the opening act ran me about $125. . The souvenirs that I picked up was a T-shirt and a jacket as well as a beverage holder,, I would’ve preferred a concert book, I am a little disappointed they did not have a concert book for purchase. Overall, the concert was fantastic. Well worth the six months that I had to wait in order to see them perform and well worth the money spent. If you have the opportunity to see them perform in concert definitely take that opportunity. You will not be disappointed.
